Our church remains open throughout the day for all to come and spend time before our Blessed Lord in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist. The Church will be open each day from 8am until 10pm. Please continue to check this website for further prayers and information, and know of my prayers for all of you in this time. While my heart breaks from not being together with you, I remember you all each day at the altar and continue to offer my prayers for you, my beloved parishioners.

In Jesus, through Mary our patroness, Queen of the Angels,
Fr. Zak

Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Looking for something to do today? How about listening to a fun and edifying Catholic podcast?
(I usually listen on the PodBean app on my phone, but most of these can also be found on stitcher or elsewhere). Here are a few of Fr. Zak's top picks:

1) Truth in Charity with Bishop Rhoades - You can't beat listening to your own local Ordinary. Don't forget to pray for our Bishop, He always needs our prayers as He courageously works to guide us in the Truth and Love of Christ.
2) Catholic Stuff You Should Know - I've listened to almost every episode & absolutely love these priests from Colorado who have excellent fraternity, are just funny to listen to (in my opinion) and touch on all sorts of great topics.
3) You Were Born for This with Fr. John Riccardo (Acts XXIX minsitries) - During these days when so many are home trying to stay healthy, they're doing a special daily series of fairly short episodes each day. Highly recommend.
4) Lanky Guys - This priest and theologian from Colorado reflect on the Sunday readings each Thursday.
5) Bishop Robert Barron's Sermons, from Word on Fire - I usually listen to this and to the Lanky Guys each week while preparing my homilies :)
6) The Catholic Talk Show - I'm newer to this one, but I like the guys on here and plan on listening more.
7) The Fr. Mike Schmitz Podcast - All his clips are also on YouTube. I don't keep up with this one, but he's great and these are usually pretty short.
8) Check out Formed.org which has a plethora of amazing and engaging Catholic content.
9) Also, free Magnificat at https://us.magnificat.net/free

While many of us are home from school and work during these days, one of the many great ways to grow closer together as a family - after eating meals together, preparing meals together, praying and reading Scripture together, playing games, reading books, and just talking as a family - is watching and listening to the amazing presentations on our faith, the sacraments, and the saints on Formed.org

There are many movies about the saints, recorded books, audio and video talks, lessons on the sacraments... so many ways to learn more about and grow in your faith in these days.

Registering for FORMED is free & easy:

  1. Go to formed.org/signup
  2. Select our parish "Queen of Angels" - make sure it's the one in Fort Wayne
